Albemarle Career Exploration Academy – Lambs Lane Campus (ACE Lambs Lane) is an Albemarle County Public Schools specialty center for students in grades 9–12, designed around the Scholars instructional vision to help students explore who they are, what they care about, and where they want to go. Students design a personalized, student-driven plan of study that builds on their interests, talents, and future goals, working in partnership with families to co-construct a four-year academic and elective pathway aligned to college, career, and life aspirations. This approach fosters student autonomy, agency, and purpose, helping learning feel meaningful and connected to the real world.

Students at ACE Lambs Lane learn within one of eight Scholars Studios, each offering a distinct area of focus: Blueprint Studio (Architecture, Urban Design & Building Construction), Impact Studio (Global Leadership, Law & Social Justice), Nexus Studio (Geospatial Analytics, Computer Science with Integrated AI and Robotics), Pulse Studio (Health & Medical Sciences), Savor Studio (Hospitality, Eateries, Travel & Recreation), Solve Studio (Math, Engineering & Science), Thrive Studio (Education & Human Development), and Venture Studio (Entrepreneurship, Business & Innovation). Each studio brings together a diverse learning community of peers, educators, mentors, and industry experts where students feel welcomed, known, safe, respected, and intellectually challenged. Through collaboration with peers who share interests and professionals who reflect the diversity of our community, students develop a strong sense of belonging while engaging in challenging, interest-driven work.

Learning at ACE Lambs Lane is grounded in authentic experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Students participate in labs, field experiences, internships, service learning, and industry-connected projects that address real-world challenges and have meaningful impact. Across four years, students work toward clear outcomes: staying engaged throughout high school and graduating ready for what comes next. Graduates are supported in earning industry credentials, participating in high-quality work-based learning, and accessing college-level coursework, while building toward transferable skills becoming Purposefully Self-Aware, Curious Collaborators, Confident Communicators, and young people who Initiate Impact in their communities and the world.
